You just found out you're expecting? Congratulations! You could walk into any baby store to start a registry...and they'll hand you a list with 100+ "Must Have Items." What?!
There's so much focus on the *stuff* for baby - and don't get me wrong, there are some things you should probably have, instead of just winging it, especially for your first baby. But, instead of a hundred items, I've narrowed it down to truly, the things that we couldn't have survived without. My "Must Haves" and "Other Registry Ideas" are all linked below. This list will get you started with the basic things that helped make our journey as new parents easier!
Oh - you'll probably want a few onesies for the baby, too, but sooo many people gifted us clothes for our first baby! Keep the season in mind, but a simple pack of long sleeve or short sleeve onesies would be a good place to start! 😘 (and don't underestimate how easy side-snaps are in the beginning!)
Finally, be sure to check out my Preparing for Postpartum List, because all the baby *stuff* is super cute, but there's a whole other side of preparation to be done, like learning about realistic infant sleep and seeking out an IBCLC if you're considering breastfeeding.
And, congratulations, again! You'll do great, mama! DM me on Instagram with any questions!
Spectra S2 Electric Breast Pump (check with your health insurance company, many will cover the cost or partial cost of a pump)
Bassinet or cosleeper and some extra sheets
Sound machine better yet - get the bundle that has a portable sound machine, too!
Video monitor - there's so many options, we chose one that's NOT on wi-fi and expands with an extra camera
Stroller - I aboslutely LOVE this stroller, I can't even imagine how many miles are on it! Mine's the V2 and it's worth the price, IMO
Infant Car Seat - again, there's so many options, especially when it comes to carseats, you have to choose what's right for *you*
Stretchy wrap - so many different brands, but this is the one that worked for me!
Structured baby carrier - again, so many options, decide what will work for you best!
